Daily Prayer from James 3:17-18

Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. I pray that ________ will be characterized by being gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced. Help her (him) develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results by doing the hard work of getting along with others, treating others with dignity and honor.

Daily Prayer from James 3:13-16

I pray that ________ will want to be counted as wise, desiring to build a reputation for wisdom. Here’s what she (he) needs your help with, Lord: to live well, live wisely, live humbly. Help her (him) live by this truth: It’s the way she (he) lives, not the way she (he) talks, that counts. Mean-spirited ambition isn’t wisdom. Boasting that you are wise isn’t wisdom. Twisting the truth to make yourselves sound wise isn’t wisdom. It’s the furthest thing from wisdom—it’s animal cunning, devilish conniving. Whenever you’re trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others’ throats.

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD. And I will worship the LORD. ~1 Samuel 1:27-28

"A fervent praying warrior goes to battle for me each day. Isn't that sweet? She picks up her sword and her shield, and she goes to work! I'm a coach, and I understand what that means - to sweat and bleed, and rough it out; and you do that every time you...pray. This isn't tiddlywinks, and it's not patty-cake, this is war, and you're going to war on behalf of your kids." -Ty Nichols speaking to a group of praying moms about his mother, Fern Nichols, founder of Moms in Touch, Intl.
